National Comic Book Day!

Today, I woke up for work and decided it was a good day to wear my Marvel shirt and my Thor bracelet. Then I got to work, read the news, and discovered that it was National Comic Book day.

What a perfectly wonderfully lovely coincidence.

So I'm sharing some of my favorite comic bookish stuff today because I couldn't resist.

[i think this makes me a licensed therapist.]

[this is why i need children. pronto. stat.]

[my whole life till now has been a lie.]

[this is why the Dark Knight trilogy disturbs me.]

[oh, you know it.]

[i can't handle the level of coolness here. someone needs to publish these books NOW.]

[rapunzel broke one, and bucky broke one. whoops.]

[i'm sorry, i just...]

[that's some genius art.]

[um, yeah. that's a medieval Hawkeye.]

[i love this to pieces.]

[you are now inspired.]

[there you go.]

[this would be the other reason i need children.]

[who could imagine sideburns would be so awesome.]

[watch the whole thing. to the very end. you will fall out of your chair, i promise.]

I leave you now to go listen to audio clips of James Spader threatening human extinction as Ultron.

  1. I hadn't seen that HISHE! My favorite lines: "This helmet is fabulous." "Aaah! Devil dropping people off at the ER!" "Wow. X-men are stubborn."

    And their Wolverine = adorable.

    1. I say the "devil" line at least twice a day. :D I think I rolled on the floor laughing for a good 2 minutes the first time we watched it. My brother couldn't quit coughing. It made me like the whole movie even better.

    2. I'm totally thinking, "This helmet is fabulous" every time I see Magneto in it from now on.

  2. Oh my goodness, these pictures. I can't decide which is my favorite... probably the "whip thy locks", or the Peggy/ Bucky. I seriously pinned that only a few days ago! Hilarious... ♥ Bless you, Joanna, thanks for making me smile.

    1. Aw, so glad I could do that. I love the Peggy/Bucky one. Bless you too!

  3. I love this! Simply love this. Thanks for the laugh! Also can I just say that coincidences like that are pretty rare and you totally rocked it? :)

    1. You're welcome, and thank you! I must say, I always feel rather more confident when I wear my superhero shirt. ;-)
